ARAMI, 11 YEARS OLD, "THE
PRODIGY CHILD OF THE PARAGUAYAN HARP", TO BE
FEATURED IN A SERIES OF NATIONALY BROADCASTED
CONCERTS BY THE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA OF NAPLES,
FLORIDA/USA.
MIAMI,
FL- JANUARY 14TH 2003 - Arami, 11 year-old,
"the Prodigy Child of the Paraguayan
Harp", has signed her first professional
contract with the prestigious Philharmonic
Center for the Arts of Naples (Florida/USA,
www.thephil.org) for a series of seven
concerts entitled "Fiesta in Naples",
from January 21 - 26, 2003. These concerts
will be recorded and rebroadcast over
the Public Broadcasting Service PBS
Channels nationally on December 2003
(www.pbs.org).
Under
the direction of the distinguished
Director Erich Kunzel, Arami will interpret
two themes on her Paraguayan harp: "Moliendo Café" and the famous
Paraguay music "Parajo Campana". In addition
to Arami, world-renowned jazz flautist Nestor
Torres, winner of the 2001 Latin Grammy for Best
Pop Instrumental Album will also be featured.

interpreting typical music from Latin America
and from my country Paraguay. I am happy to have
such a great opportunity to share my music and
culture with people all over America," commented
Arami when informed of her participation in the
"Fiesta in Naples" event.

Arami:
Arami
was born in Cannes on the French Riviera
in 1991. She was 5 years old when she
started playing the Paraguay Harp after
her grandfather gave her one as a gift.
Arami has strong connections to the
Paraguayan Harp, as her mother is from
Paraguay. From an early age, she introduced
Arami to the music of her homeland
which details the legends and customs
of the Guarani People of Paraguay.
Arami feels so strongly about this
connection that her first professional
CD was recorded in Asunción, Paraguay. Arami´s talent has taken her
to perform in Chilean, Paraguayan, American and
Spanish Television Programs, such as "Sabado Gigante"
from Don Francisco and the "Veo Veo Internacional"
Festival, where she was invited to Alicante, Spain
to represent Paraguay among the world's most talented
young artists of 14 countries. She performed the
famous Parajo Chogui that was televised live to
more than 88 million viewers on five continents.
At 11 years old, Arami recorded her first CD Revelación
that includes 11 melodies from a mix of classical
Paraguayan folk and international themes. Arami
teaches as well the Paraguayan Harp to children
from 6 to 11 years old. She lives with her family
